Fisher-Price recalls 800,000 baby sleepers for possible mold
Tue Jan 8, 2013
I have one of these they are great. They are basically a semi-portable\ fold-able crib that allows inclined sleeping for babies. The mold occurs when you let enough bodily fluids sit in the liner, it doesn't dry out easily and grows mold. Solution: clean it and dry it out.

Flat White = Lazy barista's cappuccino.
800-year-old tree at Vancouver Island park falls to illegal loggers
Fri May 18, 2012
This is absurd. Its not like its that easy to walk away with a 800 year old tree like that. Its a big forest, but its also easy to spot heavy equipment like that, particular-ally if they are stupid enough to keep coming back.

If you are American, they can go after your assets, (House, cars, etc), otherwise you can give them everything and then get your "free" care.
States taxing the poor most
Wed May 2, 2012
Illinois has always had a pretty basic flat tax that applies to everyone, it was relatively low, now not so much. The Democrats in charge here have become pretty adept at cutting back room deals with both the unions and the big corporations, unfortunately the average tax payers pay for that.
We love Whole Foods but shop at Wal-Mart
Wed Apr 4, 2012
Every time I go to Walmart I seem to leave disappointed most of the time. Their prices are not always the lowest and often the quality takes a hit. Fortunately I have dozens of choices in my area, which is probably why I don't shop there more than 3 or 4 times a year and not for groceries.

Police chief steps down temporarily over handling of Trayvon Martin case
Thu Mar 22, 2012
I don't think this is about race. Any young male dressed in a hoody is going to look suspicious, but he definitely did not deserve to be shot. I'm not sure why so many kids desire to walk around looking like a thug and then are surprised when they are harassed.
Family removed from plane due to unruly toddler wanted a 'little bit of humanity'
Mon Mar 12, 2012
I think this story is still a bit skewed. Its not like they can just send them off the airplane in no time at all.
